Four innovations will be selected and will be recognized and supported with monetary and non-monetary resources. Each of the recognized promising innovations will receive a funding of $10,000 USD (gross).
In relation to the non-monetary support, and in order to contribute to the improvement and proper development of the innovations, each of the selected innovations will receive support through the following activities carried out by KIX LAC:
- A Theory of Change workshop for all innovations.
- A workshop to generate the Sustainability Plan.
- Evaluation and adjustments of the Theory of Change and Sustainability Plan for each innovation.
In order to facilitate the application process, SUMMA will provide information and guidance to those who request it through the email kix.lac@summaedu.org until November 29, 2021 at 13:00 hours.

All applications received within the application deadline must meet the eligibility criteria. If any of them are not met, the application will be automatically rejected and classified as ineligible, which will be duly informed by means of an official communication from KIX LAC.
- Completeness of the application: To be considered admissible, the application must present and complete all the fields and questions requested on the platform along with uploading the forms and documents requested in the application stage.
- School level: Innovations applied at the school level are eligible. This means, from initial or pre-school education/training to secondary education. The selected cases will follow the levels defined by the International Standard Classification of Education (Unesco, 2013). These levels are described in terms of pre-primary or initial education (ISCED 0), primary (ISCED 1) and lower secondary (ISCED 2).
- Non-profit institutions: Only innovations submitted by non-profit institutions will be eligible.
- Place of application: Innovations that contemplate the total or partial implementation of the proposed project within the territory of the KIX LAC countries defined in this competition in section 3.7 will be eligible.
- Gender equality and inclusion perspective, Innovations that can explicitly showcase their strategies to address gender equality and social inclusion will be eligible.
